The Remote Escape provides listings, applications, profiles, messaging, reviews, and safety tools. We are not the employer, recruiter, accommodation provider, or party offering a gig. A listing is not a guarantee of work.

These terms govern your use of The Remote Escape, a platform that helps travelers discover paid gigs and communicate with independent businesses.

2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account and must tell us promptly about unauthorized access.
3. Travelers
Before accepting a gig, verify the business, duties, pay, dates, and conditions. You remain responsible for travel, housing, insurance, taxes, visas, work authorization, and compliance with local law unless a written agreement clearly says otherwise.
4. Businesses and paid gigs
Businesses must be genuine, describe work and compensation accurately, pay as agreed, comply with employment, tax, safety, equality, and consumer laws, and obtain any required permits or insurance. Unpaid work disguised as a paid listing is prohibited.
5. Applications and agreements
Applications and messages do not create an employment or service relationship with The Remote Escape. Travelers and businesses are responsible for documenting their own agreement and determining its correct legal classification.
6. Content and conduct
Do not post unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, abusive, infringing, or unsafe content. You keep ownership of your content but grant us the limited permission needed to host, display, moderate, and deliver it through the platform.
7. Moderation
We may review, hide, reject, or remove accounts, listings, messages, and reviews, and may suspend access where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or enforcement of these terms. Reports are assessed in context and do not guarantee a particular outcome.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep the service secure and available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or the identity, conduct, solvency, legality, or accuracy of users and listings. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Ending use and changes
You may stop using the platform and request account deletion. We may update these terms and will post the revised date; material changes will be communicated where reasonably possible. Continued use after changes means the new terms apply.
10. Law and disputes
Mandatory consumer protections and applicable law continue to apply. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the concern informally. The final governing-law clause should be confirmed after the operator's legal entity and establishment are finalized.
